Paperless Proposal does not host your data on a normal server as most all other services do. We utilise cutting edge cloud computing technology provided by Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud. Your Paperless Proposal is operating securely inside the cloud on Amazon’s world renowned data centers. Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale computing accessible to applications such as your Paperless Proposal.

As Paperless Proposal runs on EC2 it takes advantage of a truly elastic computing environment. EC2 enables Paperless Proposal to increase or decrease capacity within minutes, not hours or days. Infrastructure Advantages
Paperless Proposal runs in Amazon’s AWS data center which has many years of experience in designing, constructing, and operating large-scale data centers. This experience has been applied to the AWS platform and infrastructure. AWS data centers are housed in nondescript facilities, and critical facilities have extensive setback and military grade perimeter control berms as well as other natural boundary protection. Physical access is strictly controlled both at the perimeter and at building ingress points by professional security staff utilizing video surveillance, state of the art intrusion detection systems, and other electronic means. Authorized staff must pass two-factor authentication no fewer than three times to access data center floors. All visitors and contractors are required to present identification and are signed in and continually escorted by authorized staff.

Paperless Proposal is behind a complete firewall solution whose configuration is restricted by a PEM-encoded X.509 certificate.

BACKUP

Paperless Proposal data is stored in Amazon’s Elastic Block Store and is redundantly stored in multiple physical locations as a normal part of those services and at no additional charge.

Paperless Proposal also backs up data in multiple Availability Zones. Each availability zone runs on its own physically distinct, independent infrastructure, and is engineered to be highly reliable. Common points of failures like generators and cooling equipment are not shared across Availability Zones. Additionally, they are physically separate, such that even extremely uncommon disasters such as fires, tornados or flooding would only affect a single Availability Zone and not result in a loss of data for your Paperless Proposal.

Larry Abrams – Chief Executive Officer
Larry Abrams, CBSE: After graduating from San Diego State University ‘s School of Business, Larry purchased GMI Building Services, Inc. in 1989, and Guard Management, Inc. in 1992. Under his guidance, GMI has grown from 35 employees to more that 850, and emerged as a strong and comprehensive regional security and building services contractor. Larry has been recognized as a leader and innovator in the industry, embracing the addition of new technologies to enhance GMI’s operation. He served a three-year term as director of the Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI), and has also achieved the Certified Building Service Executive designation, the top professional accomplishment in the industry.

Glen Cohen – Vice President/Partner
Glen Cohen leads the marketing & creative team at Paperless Software, Inc. Cohen started Paperless Software, Inc. in 2007 with Abrams and has served in a variety of management and R&D roles. Cohen has 20yrs experience in the industry and is responsible for branding, marketing, communications, sales operations, event management, and corporate identity.

Prior to joining Paperless Software, Inc., Cohen was CEO of GlenCo Advertising, Inc a full service Advertising & Marketing firm specializing in creative services & web based technology working with a prominent client base. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising as well as numerous certifications in software.

Zeb Evans – Director of Technology
Zebulon Evans as the Director of Technology oversees the development of all software for Paperless Software, Inc.

Prior to joining Paperless Software Inc., Zeb developed web application and web infrastructure expertise while re-architechting the fixed web application for the Sprint, Virgin Mobile and Amp’d Mobile game communities while at Motricity. Also adding to Zeb’s web integration expertise he headed the engineering effort of Stabilis an award winning web-based physical security and information integration system and Tactical Survey a web application providing first responders all information needed on high risk government facilities while at Kratos Defense.

Zeb has over twelve years of software engineering and management experience. He holds both a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Computer Science as well as numerous certifications in web technologies including Java and is a Certified Zend PHP Engineer.

Alan Abrams – Vice President of Business Development
Mr. Abrams responsibilities at Paperless Proposal encompass general sales to corporate accounts as well as setting up and managing strategic relationships and alliances with other third-party companies.

Prior to joining Paperless Proposals, Mr. Abrams was an executive in the retail commercial real estate industry for twenty-two years. During that time span he has been employed by local and national real estate developers and owners, a national real estate investment trust and a national retail chain. His career accomplishments included leasing of shopping center space, representation of tenants, site selection and the acquisition and disposition of shopping centers across the United States.

Mr. Abrams attended the University of Miami in Florida and San Diego State University in San Diego, CA.
